Illustration Major

Illustration Major is a program that prepares individuals to use artistic techniques to develop and execute interpretations of the concepts of authors and designers to specifications.

Includes instruction in book illustration, fashion illustration, map illustration, rendering, exhibit preparation, textual layout, cartooning, and the use of various artistic techniques as requested by clients.

What can you do with a major/degree in Illustration Major?

To have a career in this field, you typically need an associate or bachelor’s degree.  Your career options may include (but are not limited to) such jobs as advertising illustrator, blogger, cartoonist, commercial artist, digital artist, and editorial illustrator.
