This major is a program that prepares individuals for careers as clinical research administrators or clinical research coordinators where they work under the supervision of a Principal Investigator to organize, coordinate, and administer clinical research trials.

Includes instruction in pharmacology, medical terminology, foundations of clinical research, project management, ethics, research design and data management, and legal and regulatory compliance.

What can you do with a major/degree in Clinical Research Coordinator Major?

If it is your career ambition to become a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will likely need a master’s degree but may be able to start your career with a bachelor’s degree at an assistant or specialist level.  Your job responsibilities will be that of developing procedures/practices for clinical trial studies.  As well, any tools or laboratory facilities involved will need to be inspected.  In addition, you should expect to recruit, screen, and sign-up target participants.
