This major is a program that prepares you to work and dispense medications under the direction of a pharmacist. May measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.

The required and elective courses you would take for Pharmacy Technician/Assistant majors vary considerably among institutions.  Most programs include pharmacy law, basic chemistry, pharmacology, dosage calculations, inpatient pharmacy procedures, and retail pharmacy procedures.
